Hello, I'm Tania!

It may be because of my credentials: multilingual and multicultural know-how from a decade living in Switzerland, Spain and Italy; Master's in Translation with distinction; and several years' experience translating and writing copy for the luxury travel and wellness industries.

All these things are important, but in the end, whether or not you choose to work with me probably rests on whether we're a good "fit".
We can find that out by email or on a call but, for now, here's a quick snapshot of who I am. Other than a polyglot and a word nerd, I’m also a countryside convert (living in the Wiltshire wilds), a movement maniac (with a treadmill desk!) and a total softie for furry friends (especially my beagle and two tabby cats). I’m also that annoying born-again healthy living advocate who tries not to bore people senseless with tips on a lifestyle that actually makes a lot of sense!
And importantly, in a world of AI-generated generic gobbledegook, impersonal business practices and substandard work, I strive to add the human touch to my words and working relationships, along with a generous dollop of curiosity, conscientiousness and commitment that only humans are capable of.

What do I do?
I provide French, Spanish and Italian into English translations. I give you an English voice that will speak to your customers in the UK without awkward turns-of-phrase or room for cultural misinterpretation. You’ll come across as credible, authoritative and someone who places importance on the message they want to convey: “we provide excellence”.
I also “translate” ideas that have yet to be expressed in their written form. If you prefer your content to be produced directly in English rather than translated, we can discuss your requirements so that I can write compelling English copy for your brand.

What's my why?
Love of learning. Love of language. And boundless curiosity about what makes people tick and how they communicate with one another.
I became an English translator and copywriter because I get the chance to use and improve my hard-(l)earned language skills every day. Working with words opens up new worlds and fresh perspectives, granting me an irresistible opportunity to acquire knowledge and perhaps even a smidgen of wisdom.
And I get paid for something that I would probably do for free (shh, don’t tell anyone!).
